Approved catalogs appear in your reseller experience with the products and pricing that catalog delivers. Inventory exports separately as CSV, Excel, or JSON; API read access and FTP delivery apply where configured.

How marketplace access works

Four steps from sign-up to approved catalog data.

Step 1

Choose a reseller plan

Your plan determines how many approved catalogs you can keep active at one time. After checkout we email your sign-in link — access uses a one-time email code, no password to manage.

Step 2

Browse participating suppliers

Review public company and catalog information — categories, item counts, inventory type, and product-image galleries where supplied. Public discovery never reveals private reseller pricing.

Step 3

Request a specific catalog

Requests are per catalog, with an optional note about your business. The manufacturer reviews and approves or denies each request on their own schedule — you track every decision from your dashboard.

Step 4

Use approved catalog data

Approved catalogs appear in your reseller experience with the permitted data that catalog delivers. Download as Excel (.xlsx) or JSON, export inventory as CSV, Excel, or JSON, and use API read access or FTP delivery where configured. Approval doesn't publish products to your store — importing is your step.

What resellers see before and after approval

Discovery and access are deliberately separate — listing is public, data is private.

Comparison of publicly visible marketplace information versus information available after a manufacturer approves catalog access
Before approval — public discovery After approval — permitted catalog data
Company name, description & logo Assigned product data for the approved catalog
Catalog title, summary & brand Your reseller pricing, with MSRP and MAP where supplied
Categories & product count Inventory, restock & discontinued information where shared
Inventory type, dropship & ship-from facts Excel (.xlsx) & JSON catalog downloads; CSV, Excel & JSON inventory exports
Product-image galleries where supplied API read access and FTP delivery where configured
Discovery does not grant access. Approval is per catalog — never a master key to every supplier catalog — and each catalog's rules still determine the delivered products and pricing. Marketplace access does not reserve inventory, is not a guaranteed quote, and does not create a purchase order.

What marketplace verification means

“Verified” has a specific definition here — the same one shown inside the marketplace.

Manufacturer-direct

Participating suppliers are paid subscribers on InventaCloud's manufacturer platform — no aggregators, no scrapers, no reseller-of-reseller chains.

Structured catalog data

Each listed catalog has been imported and mapped to structured fields — SKU, title, pricing roles, images, dimensions — before it reaches you.

Opted-in per catalog

Suppliers choose which catalogs to list. What you see is what they actively want resellers to source — not a forgotten data dump.

Listings stay current

If a manufacturer's subscription goes inactive, their listings drop off the marketplace automatically — no stale storefronts.

Marketplace verification does not guarantee product quality, fulfillment speed, inventory availability, commercial terms, or future business performance — those remain part of your own supplier relationship.

An active catalog is any manufacturer-approved catalog you currently hold access to. Manufacturers review each request and can remove a catalog grant where supported — a removed grant stops counting toward your plan.

Marketplace FAQ

Straight answers on requests, approvals, formats, and what the marketplace does and doesn't do.

How do marketplace catalog requests work?

Requests are per catalog: pick the specific catalog you want, add an optional note about your business, and submit. The manufacturer reviews and approves or denies that request — approval grants access to that catalog only.

What can I see before a manufacturer approves access?

Public listing information: company profile, catalog title and summary, brand, categories, item count, inventory type, dropship availability, and product-image galleries where supplied. Reseller pricing and full product data stay private until approval.

What catalog formats can I download after approval?

Catalog downloads are Excel (.xlsx) and JSON. Inventory exports separately as CSV, Excel, or JSON. API read access and FTP delivery are available where configured for the account and catalog.

Does marketplace access publish products to my online store?

No. You receive clean catalog data in formats store platforms and tools can import — Excel and JSON — but importing into your store, and how you use the data downstream, is your workflow.

How long does approval take?

Approval timing is determined by each manufacturer — there's no fixed turnaround. Track every request and decision from your marketplace dashboard, and use the request thread to introduce your business or follow up.

What does manufacturer verification mean?

Participating manufacturers are paid subscribers on InventaCloud's manufacturer platform, their catalogs are imported as structured data, each listing is opted in per catalog, and listings drop off automatically if a subscription lapses. Verification doesn't guarantee product quality, fulfillment speed, inventory availability, or commercial terms.

Does the marketplace process orders or payments?

No — the marketplace is discovery and access. There's no cart, checkout, or payment processing between you and suppliers. Where a manufacturer enables purchase orders, ordering happens in the reseller portal after approval.

What happens if a catalog request is denied?

A denied request doesn't create access to that catalog. You can continue browsing and requesting other participating catalogs within your plan — and a denial isn't necessarily forever; manufacturers can approve a previously denied request later.

Does a reseller plan give me access to every catalog?

No. A subscription lets you browse and request — each manufacturer decides each catalog request individually. Your plan sets how many approved catalogs you can keep active at one time.

How do manufacturers list catalogs?

From the InventaCloud vendor dashboard: set up your marketplace storefront, choose which catalogs to list, and review incoming access requests — approving or denying each one per catalog. Listing is included with vendor plans.

Ryan Balchand, Founder of InventaCloud
I built InventaCloud after watching resellers waste months cold-emailing manufacturers, chasing spreadsheet catalogs, and re-requesting feeds every quarter. The Reseller Marketplace is the piece that ties it together — participating suppliers, per-catalog access requests, and current catalog data in formats your store platform and tools can import. If you're here early, I want your feedback to shape what we add next — email me directly any time.
