Where catalog data goes
A catalog leaves InventaCloud four ways: through the API into your own systems, to a Shopify store, as a download, or into a reseller’s own search index. Every route carries the same published data, and the platform is built for catalogs of up to 100 million SKUs. Each route below names who does it and what it needs.
Publishing to a store is always a reseller-portal action. Suppliers share catalogs; resellers send them.
Keys for the systems you already run
Stable field names and the same IC Images columns as the downloads, so an automated import written once keeps working.
- In the supplier app. Settings › API Keys issues workspace-scoped bearer tokens for your own systems.
- In the reseller portal. Read-only keys cover catalogs, inventory, prices and your purchase orders. Read-write keys also create, cancel and message on purchase orders, and add customers.
- One key per integration. Rotate or revoke a key without touching the others.

The reseller connects their own store, matches the supplier catalog to the brands already in it, and decides what to send and when.
- Connect. A Dev Dashboard app with guided scopes and a copy button, or an existing custom-app token. More than one store.
- Send. Tick products, paste SKUs or send a whole catalog that keeps up with new items. Match my store first, so existing listings update instead of duplicating. Drafts or active; sales channels; supplier stock tracking optional.
- Maintain. Update attributes refreshes chosen fields and never creates or empties; Update images replaces all, adds what is missing, or swaps only the images InventaCloud added. Storefront filter tags and supplier promotions with a start and an end.
- Watch. Store activity shows every job with a Stop button; Send history shows what is on the store, what is not yet sent and whether the catalog changed since.
Shopify
Resellers send approved supplier products to their own store from the reseller portal, then keep them current with Update attributes and Update images. A supplier selling its own line invites itself as a reseller.

Every catalog is published as JSON to the CDN. From the portal a reseller downloads it as Excel or CSV, or copies it out as JSON, with image links included.

Permanent CDN links for every product image travel inside each catalog download as the columns image_01 to image_20, and can be resized or converted on the fly.
Inventory is read in the portal per supplier, with the last-sync time on each row, or pulled through the API. The reseller’s customer book imports and exports CSV or Excel with the same headers.
Keep your own AWS search index current
For resellers who run site search on AWS: the portal maps store and catalog data into the index and updates it on your terms.
- Connect by ARN. Paste the domain ARN; the exact IAM policy is shown, and secrets are stored encrypted.
- A field map per index. Shopify data, built values such as collections, handles and full text, tags, metafields, fixed values or supplier catalog columns, with Then rules to clean, lower-case, flag or keep positive values only. Preview a product; suggest a map from field names.
- Manual by default. Test only tests. Send all and Send now run on demand. Resume switches on automatic updates within a minute.
- Guard rails. Only active products are indexed, and a safety rule blocks an update that would remove an unusually large share of the index. Items sold counts are available to the index.

FTP and SFTP delivery is not part of the product. Catalogs reach resellers through the portal, the API, or a send to Shopify from the portal.
WooCommerce, Magento Open Source, Adobe Commerce are not integrated. Resellers on those platforms use the Excel, CSV or JSON downloads, or the API with a read-only key.
Who sends what, where
Can a supplier publish straight to Shopify from the supplier app?
No. Sending products to a Shopify store is done in the reseller portal by the reseller who owns the store. A supplier that sells its own line invites itself as a reseller, shares the catalog with that account, and uses the portal’s Shopify tools.
Is there FTP or SFTP delivery?
No. FTP and SFTP delivery are not part of the product. Catalogs reach resellers through the reseller portal as Excel, CSV or JSON downloads, through the API with a read-only or read-write key, or by sending products to Shopify from the portal. Inventory is read in the portal or pulled through the API.
What if my resellers sell on WooCommerce, Magento or Adobe Commerce?
Those platforms are not integrated. Resellers on them download the approved catalog as Excel, CSV or JSON, or connect their own system through the API with a read-only key. Image links travel inside every download as the IC Images columns image_01 to image_20, so their import can reference the pictures directly.
