Product Images

Product images, managed with the catalog — not beside it

Photos scattered across drives and email threads are how listings end up with the wrong image. InventaCloud stores product images alongside the product data they belong to: bulk-upload thousands at once, let filename matching attach them to SKUs, and serve them automatically at the sizes your resellers, feeds, and channels need.

How images flow in

  1. Bulk-upload the files Drop thousands of images at once via FTP, or hand us a simple (filename, URL) sheet and the importer fetches them for you.
  2. Match to SKUs Filenames match images to products automatically; anything ambiguous is surfaced for a quick manual link instead of guessing.
  3. Stored at every size Each image is kept and served at the dimensions your surfaces use — thumbnails, listings, detail views, and feeds.
  4. Delivered everywhere Portal views, downloads, feeds, and publishing all reference the same image set — update a photo once and it's updated everywhere.

Why teams use it

Thousands at a time

Image work happens in bulk — a folder dropped on FTP beats attaching photos to products one by one, forever.

The right photo on the right SKU

Deterministic filename matching plus a review step for strays means mismatched product photos stop shipping.

No resizing pipeline to build

You upload one good source image; every size your resellers and channels need is generated and served automatically.

A gallery you can audit

Browse the full library, see exactly which SKUs each photo is attached to, and re-link or replace assets without touching the catalog file.

Replace without breaking

Swap an asset and every surface that references it updates — no chasing stale copies across listings.

Clean by design

Catalog imports accept image filenames, not arbitrary URLs — so your catalog's image path stays fast, consistent, and under your control.

Good to know

Images travel with the data

Reseller downloads, feeds, and channel publishing all carry the correct image references automatically — partners never need a separate 'image pack' emailed after the fact.

Have URLs instead of files?

If your assets live at URLs, provide a two-column sheet — filename and URL — and the importer downloads them into your repository on a background worker, with results reported per file.

Common questions

How do images get matched to products?

By filename against your SKUs — DEMO-00123.jpg attaches to SKU DEMO-00123, with numbered suffixes for alternate shots. Anything that doesn't match cleanly is flagged for a quick manual link.

Can one product have multiple images?

Yes — primary and alternate images per SKU are standard, and the gallery shows every image attached to each product so ordering and coverage are easy to audit.

What formats and sizes should I upload?

Upload your best source files; InventaCloud generates and serves the sizes each surface needs. Higher-resolution sources simply give every downstream size more to work with.
