InventaCloud for Shopify
There's nothing to open here — and that's on purpose
The InventaCloud app has no screens inside Shopify. It works quietly in the background, keeping your store in step with a catalog you manage somewhere else. Everything you control lives in the InventaCloud reseller portal.
What the app does
- Publishes products to your store from a catalog your supplier maintains — titles, descriptions, prices, images and inventory, mapped once.
- Matches on SKU, so it updates instead of duplicating. Products you already have are recognised and updated in place rather than created again.
- Adds products to the sales channels you choose — your online store, and any other channel you select.
- Reads your store back so you can see which of your listings are covered by a catalog and which have been discontinued by the supplier.
Why "Active" isn't the whole story
Shopify keeps a product's status and its sales channels as two separate things. A product can be Active — ready to sell — and still belong to no channel at all, which means nobody can see it. That catches people out constantly, because Active reads like "live" everywhere in the Shopify admin.
InventaCloud sets both. You pick the status and the channels together when you set up a push, and products are added to those channels the first time we push them. After that the channels are yours: if you remove a product from a channel in Shopify, a later sync won't quietly put it back.
Permissions, and why each one is needed
The app asks for the narrowest set of permissions that lets it do the job above.
- Products — create and update the products it publishes, and read them back to match on SKU.
- Inventory — keep stock levels in step where you've asked it to.
- Publications (sales channels) — list the channels your store has, and add products to the ones you chose. Without this, published products land in no channel and stay invisible.
It does not read orders, customers, or payment information.
Your data
Store credentials are encrypted at rest and are never shown back to you or to anyone else after they're saved. Product data flows from your catalog into your store; we keep a record of what was sent and when, so a re-sync can tell what changed. See our privacy policy for the full detail.
Disconnecting
You can disconnect at any time, from either side — remove the connection in the InventaCloud reseller portal, or uninstall the app from Settings › Apps and sales channels in your Shopify admin.
Uninstalling does not delete your products. Everything already published stays exactly where it is, with its channels, edits and URLs intact. It simply stops being updated.
Something not working?
Email [email protected] and tell us your store address and roughly when the problem started — that's usually enough for us to find it in the sync history.
