Catalog Sharing

Share the right catalog with every reseller

Emailing price lists means every partner has a different, aging copy of your catalog — and no way to know who got what. Catalog Sharing replaces that with assigned access: each reseller sees exactly the products and pricing you've approved for them, always as your current published data — no aging copies, no version guessing.

How sharing works

  1. Approve the reseller Invite partners directly, or approve access requests that arrive from the public marketplace — each one becomes a managed relationship.
  2. Assign their catalogs Choose which published catalogs each reseller can access. One partner can have one catalog or all of them.
  3. Rules shape what they see Each shared catalog's rules apply its pricing adjustments, product filters, and exclusions automatically — assign the right catalog and the right output follows.
  4. Changes land in their view Apply price, stock, or product changes once and every reseller's portal view, next download, and feed reflects them — with each catalog's latest update date shown, nobody has to work from stale data.

Why teams use it

Commercial terms, delivered

Pricing and MAP travel as catalog data — partners see the numbers you published, current whenever they look, instead of a PDF they promise to read.

The email-attachment era ends

No more exporting per-partner files or wondering which version a reseller has. There's one catalog, and access to it.

Their format, not yours

Each reseller downloads permitted catalog data as Excel or JSON from their own portal — with API access and FTP delivery where configured — without asking you for exports.

See exactly what they see

Browse any catalog as it appears after rules apply, so you can answer 'what does partner X get?' with certainty.

Know who's engaged

Reseller analytics show who's pulling catalogs and what they're viewing — distribution becomes a channel you can measure.

Growth built in

Opt catalogs into the public marketplace and approved requests convert into managed reseller relationships automatically.

Good to know

Sharing comes with a conversation

Every marketplace access request opens a private thread with the requester, and direct messaging continues after approval — negotiation, onboarding, and day-to-day questions stay attached to the relationship.

Ending access is as clean as granting it

Unassign a catalog and the reseller's access ends — no chasing down forwarded files. Discontinued products are flagged with dates so partners can plan, not scramble.

Common questions

Can two resellers see different prices for the same product?

Yes — by assigning them different catalogs. Each shared catalog carries its own pricing rules, so the same product can go out at different numbers through separately configured catalogs, each assigned to the partners on those terms.

How do resellers find me if I don't invite them?

Opt your storefront and chosen catalogs into the InventaCloud Marketplace. Resellers browse, request access with their company details, and you approve or deny — approved requests become managed relationships automatically.

What happens when I update the catalog?

Affected catalogs rebuild automatically, and every reseller's portal view, next download, and feed pull reflects the applied change — new products, prices, stock, and discontinuations included, with the catalog's latest update date shown in their portal.
