Turn any spreadsheet into a file ready to import
Price lists, exports from other systems and old spreadsheets arrive in every shape. Drop one in and say what you need. The AI plans the new file from the headers and the first rows, you check a preview, and the app builds every row the same way. Only the columns that need writing, such as titles and descriptions, are written by the AI, from the facts in each row; everything else is copied and cleaned exactly as planned.
How it works
- Drop in your file Upload a CSV, TSV, TXT, XLSX or XLS file, or pick one already in Source Files (the original is never changed). The header row is found for you, and you can choose another row or another sheet.
- Say what you need Make it like another file, remove duplicate rows, clean up the text, write titles or descriptions, or ask in your own words, for example add 10% to the price or keep only the image file names.
- Check the plan and a preview The AI reads the headers, a profile of each column and the first rows, and writes a plan: every column of the new file, where it comes from and the steps applied to it. You see the first rows of the new file before anything is built, and can ask for changes in plain words.
- Build it, then use it The whole file is built in the background, so you can leave the page. Then download it as Excel or CSV, add it to Source Files for a brand, or use it to replace or add items in a source file you already have.
Why teams use it
The AI plans once from the file's headers and first rows, and the app applies that plan to every row exactly, so a 40,000-row file is handled the same way as its first ten rows.
Columns that need writing are written row by row from the facts in that row. The AI is told never to invent specifications, measurements, prices or claims, and reads only the columns each written column needs.
Titles and descriptions your file already has are kept, and the AI writes only the missing ones. Turn the option off to have every row written again.
Save the plan as a recipe and run it on next month's file without the AI planning again. Text already written for the same product details is reused instead of written again.
The Excel copy keeps every cell as text, so UPCs, SKUs and zip codes keep their leading zeros.
Files and builds stay private to your workspace and are kept for 30 days. Nothing reaches your catalogs until you import the new file.
What's included
Good to know
It plans the new file and writes the columns that need writing. Copying, combining, reformatting, removing duplicates and calculating are done by the app exactly as the plan says, so they cost no AI at all. You check a preview before anything is built.
An add-on for any supplier plan: $49 a month or $499 a year (about two months free), including 50,000 AI-written rows a month. Or save your own OpenAI key and pay OpenAI directly, with no subscription. Every workspace can try three free previews first.

Common questions
What files can the AI File Builder read?
CSV, TSV, TXT, XLSX and XLS files: up to 50 MB for CSV and Excel (25 MB for an old .xls file), with up to 50,000 rows and 300 columns. It finds the row the headers are on, and you can choose another row or sheet.
Does the AI read my whole file?
No. To plan, it reads the headers, a short profile of each column and the first rows. To write a title or a description, it reads only the columns that column needs, one row at a time. Everything else is done by the app.
What counts as an AI-written row?
A row of the new file where the AI wrote at least one column. Copying, cleaning and reshaping columns never counts, and neither does text kept from your file or reused from an earlier build. The exact number is counted before the AI starts.
Can I use my own OpenAI key instead?
Yes. Save it in AI settings and OpenAI bills your account for what the AI writes, with no subscription. The key is stored encrypted, and only its last four characters are shown again.
