Import supplier catalogs without rebuilding every product

Somewhere in your operation, someone is retyping a supplier's spreadsheet into your systems — again. When your suppliers share catalogs through InventaCloud, that job disappears: you get clean, current product data with permitted image references, your pricing, and live stock — pull it as Excel or JSON, and order through the same catalog when it's time to buy.

The retail intake grind

Every new supplier is a data project. Every supplier update is a smaller, endless one.

Manual product entry

New lines arrive as spreadsheets and PDFs; product creation means typing — hundreds of times, with typos included free.

The image chase

Photos come separately — a Dropbox link here, a ZIP there — and matching them to products is somebody's whole afternoon.

Stale price sheets

The supplier repriced in March; you found out in May when a margin went negative.

Slow supplier answers

Stock questions and order confirmations live in email threads that resolve at email speed.

Approved catalogs, ready to use

Suppliers on InventaCloud grant you catalog access instead of emailing files. What you see is already clean — mapped, validated data with the permitted image references supplied, at your negotiated pricing, with live inventory and restock ETAs. Download it as Excel or JSON, with API access and FTP delivery where your supplier's plan supports and configures them; place purchase orders through the same catalog and message the supplier on the order itself.

The retailer workflow

  1. Get approved Suppliers invite you, or you request access to their catalogs through the marketplace — with a conversation attached.
  2. Receive clean catalogs Your view arrives rule-applied: your products, your prices, permitted image references, discontinuations flagged with dates.
  3. Pull data your way Excel or JSON catalog downloads on demand — inventory exports also as CSV — with API access and FTP delivery where the supplier's plan supports and configures them.
  4. Order through the catalog Build POs at your approved prices with autosaving drafts; track acknowledgment to fulfillment with the thread attached.

Pull formats for your stack

Retail buying, day to day

Every supplier, one login

The multi-vendor portal switches between suppliers with one click — or shows everything in one feed. New supplier onboarding stops being a systems project.

Check once, know the state

Each catalog shows its latest update date, with live inventory, restock details, and discontinuation dates in the portal — while access decisions, messages, and order activity reach you by email and unread indicators. Margin surprises get caught at review time, not invoice time.

Buying without the fax-era workflow

POs build from the current catalog at your prices, submit with durable snapshots, and track through acknowledgment and fulfillment — with cancellation requests when plans change.

Questions on the thing itself

Ask about an order on the order; ask about access on the request — supplier conversations with read receipts, out of the shared inbox.

Common questions

What if our suppliers aren't on InventaCloud?

Point them here — vendors get a 14-day free trial and most publish their first clean catalog within days. The marketplace also lets you discover suppliers already publishing on the platform.

Can this feed our ecommerce store?

You can download approved catalogs as Excel or JSON, and use API access or FTP delivery where the supplier's plan supports and configures them — clean, current product data your store platform or middleware can import. Your team controls what gets loaded where; InventaCloud doesn't publish into your store directly.

Do we pay, or does the supplier?

Suppliers who invite you directly cover your access as part of the relationship. If you discover suppliers through the marketplace, reseller plans start at $49/mo based on how many catalogs you actively use.
